Assignments and Evaluation

Participation: 10%
The class will involve the presentation of material in the form of a lecture, but the main thrust of the class will be seminar discussion. I hope that everyone will feel free to express their opinions without the fear of being judged. As far as I am concerned, I do not always expect you to agree with the readings nor necessarily with me, but I do ask you to read the material and be prepared to enter in on the discussion, and to do so in a Christ like manner.

Mid-term Exam: 30% (in class exam)

Paper: 30%
This paper will be a research paper using at least four non-internet sources. The subject of the paper will be of the students choosing within the perimeters of the second half of our doctrinal study. I hope that each person might choose an area of Christian Theology that they are least familiar with so that they might maximize their learning experience.

The length of the paper will be 6 to 10 type written pages. The topic of the paper (only) must be turned in to me the second Tuesday after the midterm, with a short outline of what you intend soon to follow. Be sure to document and footnote all of the quotes and resources that you use in your paper. Leland wants us to write papers with correct grammar, style, form, and intellectual integrity.

Final exam 30%
